    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

A part from being full of flavor and rich in nutrients, miso is very handy and useful in cooking a large variety of dishes.

Traditionally, miso is made from whole soybeans.
But in our workshop, we make it using soybean pulp, as it's easier and quicker to prepare it, without having to make any compromises on quality"

Soypulp is industrial-waste in Japan.
But it's rich in nutrients and very useful!!


After making miso, we taste miso recipe .
Miso soup is Japanese fast-food.
"A cup of miso soup a day keep the doctor away."
Miso spread is delicious and it's like a peanut butter, row calorie than peanut butter(fat-free).
It's ok for nut allergy.

Our recipes are very easy and they don't need a lot of ingredients,
so you can make them without any stress.

Furthermore, you can learn how to keep improve intestinal environment.

You can enjoy this class in the Samurai house, build about 300years ago!! Samurai had lived here.

Sometimes, I work as a Japanese tea instructor in Samurai house and I enjoy sharing with foreign guests not only how to drink matcha but also the spirit of Japanese tea ceremony.
I like zen philosophy and Japanese tea ceremony is based on it.

I'm not vegetarian and vegan, but I like cooking without meat, fish, daily products.

In our class, we want to share the Japanese food which you can make easier and faster but delicious and good for your health.
