Asakusa Classic Ramen and Crispy Gyoza

Asakusa, where our classroom is located, was the birthplace of ramen in Tokyo just over 100 years ago. Make a delicious bowl of ramen and some crisp and juicy gyoza to go with it.

・Two types of stock for Ramen & Core base for Ramen(Japanese broth dashi *fish stock and chicken stock & secret of soy sauce mixture)
・Assemble Ramen (with soup mixture of 2types of stock, secret and garnishes)
・Crispy Gyoza (make filling from scratch and wrap the filling by ourselves)

    Ramen

    Ramen is a noodle soup dish and perhaps one of the most popular Japanese dishes. There are many flavours of ramen, such as Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen, Miso ramen, Tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen and so on. Common toppings are Chashu (braised pork), Negi (green onion) and Nori (dried seaweed).

    Gyoza

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

Most people don’t know that Asakusa is the birthplace of ramen in Tokyo. This genius dish which has been around for just a little over a century has been hailed as one of Japan’s best inventions. In this class, you will gain knowledge about how to prepare and make the delicious ramen base and broth from scratch. Not only that, also learn to make delicious gyoza, juicy on the inside and wonderfully crisp outside.

At the end, assemble a gorgeous and deliciously photogenic bowl of ramen.
