    Rice

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

In our cooking class, we cook these menu.
①Handmade tofu
You can make tofu with soy milk and bittern. Bittern sets tofu.

②Tofu teriyaki
Cut tofu and fly it in oil and add teriyaki flavor.

③Tofu refuse salad
It is like Japanese potato salad. We use soy milk mayonnaise, daily-free.

④Rice

⑤Miso soup
In my opinion, miso soup is Japanese fast food. We use handmade miso. We made it tofu refuse and sun-dried salt.
It is so delicious!!

⑥Japanese pickles
We prepare two kinds of pickles.
One is sweet vinegar and the other is salted-koji.

⑦Tofu refuse mochi
You can make mochi using only two ingredients, tofu refuse and potato starch.
It's so easy to make and yummy!!
It is high protein and low carbohydrate.

In our class, we want to share the Japanese food which you can make easier and faster but delicious and good for your health.
