Takoyaki
Takoyaki Cooking Lesson and Takoyaki Party!
Takoyaki is a traditional Japanese food based on flour and broth. It is called takoyaki because of the tako(octopus) inside. Takoyaki is cooked on a special takoyaki plate and topped with octopus, green onions, tenkasu, and, if desired, sauce or mayonnaise.
Most Japanese homes have takoyaki plates. Takoyaki parties are often held with family and friends to make takoyaki.
Takoyaki is also a great opportunity to experience Japanese culture. Please join us for a fun takoyaki party and share a delicious meal and good times together.
Hello, my name is Yumi.
I used to work as an exporter of Japanese food to foreign countries.
I have learned that in supermarkets overseas, simple things that can be simply heated are popular, and seasonings such as miso and soy sauce, which are unique to Japan, are not used very often.
Overseas people say that even if they buy Japanese seasonings, they do not know how to use them. So I decided to create this cooking class to spread the world about cooking dishes that can be made at home using Japanese seasonings.
My home is in a place called Hoshigaoka, 20 minutes from Nagoya Station. Nagoya is a land with a very deep history of seasonings.
I would be very happy if you could feel it.
I look forward to meeting you.
