Izakaya Cooking Class Menu:

- Deep Fried: Kushikatsu: seasonal vegetables, quail eggs, camembert cheese, chicken with umeboshi and shiso
- Raw Fish: Tuna marinaded with sesame seeds and fresh wasabi, serve with nori seaweed
- Yakiniku, wagyu Japanese style BBQ
- Sautéed: Yaki-Udon, grilled/sautéed udon with vegetable and slices of pork
- Broiled: Chicken wings with sansho pepper
- Lemon or yuzu sour and beers

  • Udon

    Udon

    Udon (うどん) is a type of thick wheat flour noodle. It is similar to Italian pasta, but much thicker. It has been eaten all over Japan as an easy-to-eat popular meal, and a substitute meal for rice dishes. Udon is often served hot as a noodle soup in its simplest form, as "kake udon", in a mildly flavoured broth called kakejiru, which is made of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin. The flavor of broth and topping vary from region to region.

Cooking Class Information

One of my favorite Japanese meals is absolutely the Japanese tapas food! Izakaya, means "stay-drink-house" is the place where we can taste the most creative homey food with drinks with under 5 ingredients! It includes, varieties of deep fried dishes, sashimi, salad, tofu dishes, dips, braised meat and much more. Itazaka is the place where I get my food inspiration, each places makes very different creative dishes, they can be for small dishes with drinks and and some main dishes can be home cooking lunch or dinner. This class is the one you can learn all of them. It covers lots of good Japanese cooking techniques such as braised, deep fry, raw food, and knife skills.
