Description of cooking experience:
There are four seasons in Japan, and there are seasonal ingredients that can be taken in each season. In organic agriculture, we do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides, but grow vegetables according to the natural cycle. Why do not you enjoy the seasonal Japanese food with plenty of fresh seasonal organic vegetables harvested in the field? We will also tell you how to eat tasty vegetables unique to farmers. Vegetarian correspondence is possible, but those who are not welcome are also welcome. Please inform us in advance if there is a request.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Hello! I'm Kaori! I run organic farmers with my family at the green rich Satoyama in Gifu Prefecture. Originally I like cooking and enjoying seasonal cuisine everyday with vegetables that can be taken from fields. We have vegetable classes for social workers and children and accept guests from home and abroad. I like to interact with people from different countries, so I'd be happy if I could cross-cultural exchange through the dining table. In addition, the town where we live has an old road called "Nakasendo", and in the Edo period there was a station town. If you are interested in history you can also guide around.
