☆onigiri (Japanese rice ball)
Onigiri is becoming very popular around the world. It is Japanese traditional food. It's easy and simple to make and healthy.
You can put whatever ingredients (fish, meet, vegetable) in your rice ball. You can make it as vegan or vegetarian. You can also choose white rice or brown rice with or without nori seaweeds.

☆miso soup
Miso soup is one of Japanese soul food. Many of us have it with every meal. You can learn how to make Dashi (broth), cut tofu and other ingredients and tips of putting miso into soup.
Feel the warmth of Japanese soup.

    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

In this cooking class, it is designed for you to enjoy Japanese traditional food in your home country.
For onigiri, you can first learn how to cook rice with ricecooker or souce pan whatever you have in your kitchen.
You can choose ingredients to put in rice which you also have a choice from white or brown. Wrap your onigiri with or without nori seaweed. You can make onigiri triangular shape or round shape. You have lots of options!
For miso soup, learn how to make dashi broth, cut tofu and other ingredients and gently put miso into soup.
We can all sit together and enjoy tasting them.
I will also prepare typical Japanese ingredients for you to try!

I work in public elementary schools in Tokyo.
When I travel around the world, I'd like to experience what local people do and eat.
I enjoyed taking a cooking lesson in Vietnum. That's the reason for me to start a cooking class in Kamakura. Kamakura is one of Japan's historical place close to Tokyo. You can plan the sightseeing at shrines and temples and enjoy cooking class at the same time.
I use the ingredients you can easily get in your home country which can be vegan and or organic. With my recepies you can make Japanese cuisine at home when you get back.
