We have different menus all of our food and menus are vegan.
Sample menu:
* Kubaneh - olive oil fully yemenite bread
* Zhoug - spicy sauce
* Kuba - dish of bulgar wheat, pomegranate molasses,spices and herbs.
* Cauliflower, lentil, fresh herbs and pomegranate salad.
* Maamoul - date and orange blossom cookies.
We will start our class with some welcome drinks, dates and nuts and take some time to get to know each other.
Then we move to the table to have some snacks and explain about the class. (Snacks: crackers with dips, fruit, cake and herbal tea).
We start with an olive oil bread and learn about its origin, before making the dough and baking in the oven.
We will again be hands on mixing the kubeh and shaping them.
Then time for making the salad and the spicy sauce. We will try different ingredients and see how to put them all together.
Lastly, we will make the cookies and get ready for lunch.
We will set the table and enjoy the food you just made.
We didn't forget about dessert and the lunch will finish with some coffee, tea and the cookies that you made.
Hi my name is Ayelet. I grew up in Israel, and always loved cooking. I learned this love from my two grandmas who passed down recipes and techniques to me since I was young. I’ve been living in Hong Kong for the past 18 years and make vegan middle eastern food, in my home, on quaint Island called Lamma. I love to host and connect different people by celebrating food.
