Yokohama Cooking Class
Stillshift operates under the concept of being just as you are, rather than trying to do things well. Even if you're not good at cooking, why not just enjoy cooking in your own way and experience Japanese culture? The venue is a cafe that was renovated from a former rice shop. There is a Jizo statue outside the Japanese-style room, and a Shinto altar inside the room. It's a warm place, like an old J
Cooking Class Menu
Spice curry: Even if you mix spices that don't share common characteristics, you can still make a delicious curry. Even if everyone is different, when people come together, it's fun, and that's what the cafe community is all about. A chef who graduated from medical school and is studying to become a psychiatrist makes his own curry. Why not have fun with a home-style curry that everyone can enjoy?
Cooking Class Information
Onigiri have existed since the Yayoi period, and were used to carry, preserve, and as offerings. Miso soup has a long history, with miso already being produced in the Jomon period, and serving as a preserved food and a way to maintain nutritional balance. Onigiri and miso soup each have their own histories, but in Japan they are a combination that has been deeply rooted in the Japanese diet since ancient times. Why not take an onigiri for a stroll around town, or enjoy a relaxed chat while eating in a Japanese-style room, enjoying the traditional Japanese atmosphere?

Hodogaya is a historic post town on the Tokaido road.
It's been seven years since we opened as a community cafe.
We've now grown to the point where we're known as a true diversity center, attracting a wide variety of people.
I hope to socialize and connect with my fellow KIKCAFE colleagues through cooking.
