• Gondoraj Lebu Cha
A refreshing Bengali lemon tea made with the unique “Gondoraj” lime. Its floral aroma and citrus flavour create a soothing and uplifting drink to end the meal.
In this cooking class, we will prepare four traditional Bengali dishes together!
These are some of the most unique and flavourful recipes from Eastern India, and each dish has its own story and charm.
We will start by making Mochar Chop. You will learn how to clean the banana blossom, mix it with spices, shape the cutlets, and fry them until crisp and golden.
Next, we will prepare Macher Paturi, a classic Bengali fish dish. We will marinate the fish with mustard paste, wrap it inside banana leaves, and cook it gently. The aroma of steamed mustard and banana leaves is unforgettable!
Then, we will cook Basanti Pulao, a festive yellow rice cooked with ghee, nuts, raisins, and aromatic spices. It is slightly sweet and very fragrant.
Finally, we will make Gondoraj Lebu Cha, a refreshing Bengali lemon tea using the special Gondoraj lime. Its citrus aroma makes it the perfect drink to end our meal.
