At Gion Imafuku, we offer a hands-on cooking class where you can learn how to make Japan’s beloved tempura from an experienced local chef.
Even if you are a complete beginner, this activity is designed to be fun and easy to learn!

You will be working with a great selection of fresh ingredients, including shrimp and squid sourced directly from the Kyoto Central Market, alongside seasonal Kyoto vegetables like Manganji sweet chili peppers.

At the end of the class, you’ll arrange your fried tempura over a bowl of rice to make your own Tendon, and enjoy it together with miso soup!
