Mieko
I turned 72 this year. I run a restaurant called "Mie" and a cooking class. Before the pandemic, for about 35 years I worked as a host family, taking care of overseas students learning Japanese and providing them with home-cooked meals every day. I also enjoyed the interaction of teaching and learning cooking from them. Since my time as a host family, I've wanted to share Japanese home cooking with people from overseas, but I didn't know how. Then, about 30 years ago, a student who had stayed with me returned and told me about this website and recommended it to me. I hope to share Japanese home cooking using seasonal ingredients, along with how to make dashi (Japanese soup stock).
Unfortunately,I can only speak Japanese.
