    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

    Green Tea

    The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

In this course, we will make Japanese dumplings . Make 20 dumplings per person.Wrapping work is fun.The sauce is ponzu and handmade miso vinegar.It is a dish that many people can enjoy at the same time.

My daughter is married and lives in Ireland. I also stayed there for several months and cooked some Japanese food for Irish friends - they seemed to enjoy it! My house is very well located. Just 5 minute walk from Sanyou-railway Takinochaya Station . We can also see the ocean from here. I’d like to cook with you while enjoying the view.
