    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

Cooking Class Information

We start to cooking rice with pot, make ralled eggs (japanese omelet) with Dashi, and also miso soup.

If you have request the veges for miso soup, very welcome.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate ask us.
Two small dogs are walking and chasing around the cooking house.

If you want to go shoppping to the supermarket in Hakuba, after the class we are able to take you. But only 30mins

About Host

I am take place cooking lesson with my freinds. We were borned in Osaka and have been in Hakuba more than 15years now.
We would like to teach Osaka soul Food and Japanese home cooking in Hakuba.
We and our kids are happy to have a communication with different nationalities.
Also we can introduce lots of sightseeing spots Hakuba or Osaka. I am used to cook lunch at elementary school and hospital as a nutritionist and my friend used to work at travel agency and information center in Hakuba.
My kids will join the cooking and also dogs are walking around inside the house.
