HOUTO is a local food of Yamanashi.
Thick and chewy noodles with some ingredients, and seasoned with MISO. (basiclly it's kind of hotpot)
Most restaurant make pumpkin HOUTO but our speciality is SEAFOOD HOUTO. It comes with shrimp, crab, salmon, mashroom, green onion and salmon roe.
You can taste wonderful seafood broth with aromatic miso.
Also we have a house-made spicy seasoning. TRY IT after having normal HOUTO!
Make HOUTO from scratch!
Mix the flour, knead the dough, flatten and cut it, stewed with seafood, and add miso.
Kneading dough is the most tough point in the class. It takes 10~15min.
When you stew the noodles and seafood, you can enjoy great seafood aroma.
After adding miso, put green onion and salmon roe on the top, and then IT'S TIME TO ENJOY YOUR HOUTO!
