  • Tempura

    Tempura

Tempura (天ぷら) is a classical Portuguese dish brought to and popularized by Japan, consisting of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. Tempura is a typical home-style cooking in Japan. It is often referred to as a representative dish to Japan. Although there are various theories, it is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu, the general of the Edo period, liked tempura so much that he allegedly died from eating too much.

  • Nigiri Sushi

    Nigiri Sushi

Sushi (寿司, 鮨) is a Japanese dish of specially prepared vinegared rice (鮨飯 sushi-meshi), usually with some sugar and salt, combined with a variety of ingredients (ネタ neta), such as seafood (most commonly and often raw), vegetables, and occasionally tropical fruits. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the key ingredient is "sushi rice", also referred to as shari (しゃり), or sumeshi (酢飯).

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

  • Green Tea

    Green Tea

The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

Nobu and Kaya were very friendly and eager to help out with everything. I learned a lot during their class and will definitely try to keep on improving my skills. This is definitely a recommendation if you want to learn how to make sushi and tempura in a very friendly environment, they can teach you a lot! They had patience with everything I did and they explained everything in detail and always showed me how to do everything and also let me try everything myself. Thank you very much!

Thank you for participating in the sushi class the other day. It's been a long time since I've had a classroom due to the influence of Corona, but were you satisfied? Ruben because I usually cook, I was good at making sushi, and I was able to understand it quickly. Please make sushi for your family and friends! Thank you for a fun time! Until the day we meet again... Nobu and Kaya

We had a brilliant sushi making class with Nobu and Kaya. They were both super lovely people and explained the steps really clearly in a way that was easy to understand. We made a mix of sashimi, nigiri and roll sushi. Even though we had never made sushi before we left feeling confident in being able to make it at home. It was also great learning how to make the sushi rice, tempura and omelet which we'll also definitely make for ourselves from now on! Thank you!
