    Gyoza

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

About Host



I am take place cooking lesson with my freinds. We were borned in Osaka and have been in Hakuba more than 15years now.
We would like to teach Osaka soul Food and Japanese home cooking in Hakuba.
We and our kids are happy to have a communication with different nationalities.
Also we can introduce lots of sightseeing spots Hakuba or Osaka. I am used to cook lunch at elementary school and hospital as a nutritionist and my friend used to work at travel agency and information center in Hakuba.
My kids will join the cooking and also dogs are walking around inside the house.
