Hello, my name is Chikako. I run a traditional Japanese house nestled in the lush green mountains of Minami-Awaji on Awaji Island, where I hold fermentation cooking classes and retreats focused on nature, food, and lifestyle. I love nature and share the richness of everyday life in harmony with it through food. The traditional house is very comfortable, and I would love for foreigners to enjoy the quintessential Japanese scenery while we make traditional Japanese meals using Awaji Island's abundant ingredients, such as a one-soup, three-dish meal or tempura rice bowls with vegetables and wild herbs. Both can be made vegan or gluten-free. I look forward to meeting you all.
