  • Okonomiyaki

    Okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savory pancake, made with flour, eggs, shredded cabbage, meat and toppings as you like. This variability is reflected in the dish's name: "okonomi" literally means "to one's liking". You can eat it everywhere in Japan, but especially Okonomiyaki made Hiroshima style and Osaka style are the most famous.

  • Green Tea

    Green Tea

The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

  • Tea Ceremony

    Tea Ceremony

The Japanese tea ceremony is a centuries-old tradition closely tied to Zen Buddhist principles, and a popular way to experience Japanese culture. There are several variations on this ritual. At its base, powdered green tea (matcha) is prepared and served in accordance with strict rules. Oftentimes, wagashi (Japanese sweets) is served alongside the bitter green tea.

Cooking Class Information

In this cooking class, we can cook Japanese Udon (Japanese noodles ) and Tenpra .

Udon is a thick white noodle made of wheat flour.
In this activity, we are going to make Udon by our foot.It can be made by children with weak arms.
With our foot, making Udon from scratch becomes not that difficult.
Udon has a typical chewing texture.
Deep-fried skewers tempura
It's placing things like seefood and vegetables on skewers, battering them, and then deep frying them.
We eat tempura after dipping it in a sauce called “tentsuyu”, or with a little Matcha salt.
