Traditional Japanese sticky rice cooked with red beans. We eat this on celebration day.

Japanese style simple clam soup.

Deep fried mackerel fish with sweet and sour sauce.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

    Green Tea

    The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

Cooking Class Information

This is the cooking class we make Japanese traditional read bean rice called Sekihan ( means red rice ).

Sekihan is made of sticky rice. When we cook the rice with read beans, the color become nice.
We put sesame with salt before we eat it.

Also we cook main dish with mackerel fish. We make sweet and sour sauce first, put some vegetables and deep fried mackerel in it.
It’s called Namban Zuke, we can also arrange the menu by using different fish or meat.

We make soup with clams as well.
Japanese famous soup is miso soup, but this salt base clam soup also one of popular soup in Japan.

I’ll always try to make the cooking way or ingredients simple so that everyone can make the menu at own country.

I have 2 kids, and I’m doing housework now.
I’ve been staying in Malaysia for 4 years, and Vietnam for 3 years.
I’m happy to communicate with the people from different countries, different cultures.
I like cooking, so I sometimes invite my friends, cook and eat together.

My house is less than 10 minutes drive from Futakotamagawa station. You can take taxi from the station. (700-800yen.)

I understand religious things, so if you have any requests for menu, just let me know. I’ll try to meet your request.
