★★★★★ (17)We would like tourists, especially foreigners, to experience the formal tea ceremony at the official tea room. The tea room to experience is located near the ruins of Heijo Palace, the ancient capital of Nara.

★★★★★This was a great experience for both myself and Patrick to experience some Japanese culture! Shigeo was very knowledgeable and friendly, his English was good even though he insisted it was not! He was patient with our poor Japanese and with us being a bit slow! We were tired after walking Nara for 7 hours so holding the poses was not so easy but Shigeo was attentive and gave us a break. The tea was very pleasant and not bitter like some. I would reccomended this experience to others in the area, Thankyou!

★★★★★We recently had the pleasure of experiencing a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with Tea Master Shigeo in Nara, and it was an incredible experience that we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful and peaceful setting of the tea house. Tea Master Shigeo collected us from the train station and greeted us with a warm smile. He proceeded to guide us through the various steps of the tea ceremony. Tea Master Shigeo's knowledge and expertise were truly impressive, and he took the time to explain the history and significance of each element of the ceremony. He also answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm, making us feel completely at ease. The tea itself was absolutely delicious, and we could taste the care and attention that had gone into every aspect of its preparation. The atmosphere of the tea room was serene and calming, making it the perfect place to relax and appreciate the beauty of the moment. Overall, we highly recommend a Japanese tea ceremony with Tea Master Shigeo to anyone visiting Nara. It's an unforgettable experience that offers a unique insight into Japanese culture and tradition, and Tea Master Shigeo's expertise and warmth make it all the more special.
