Soba
・ Tsukesoba
 Tsukesoba is eaten with cold soba,  
  pork, green onions, burdock and
 shimeji.

・Onigiri
 Onigiri is selected from plum, kelp and
 salmon and wrapped in rice.

・ Chawanmushi
  Chawanmushi is one of my favorite
  dishes.
  The ingredients are chicken, shrimp,
shiitake, kamaboko and trefoil.
  Eggs and Japanese dashi are mixed
and steamed in a steamer.

    Onigiri

    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

Cooking Class Information

・ Tsukesoba
 Handmade soba cannot be mastered
 until I teach it.
 The host prepares raw soba in advance.
 The guest starts by boiling the raw
 soba.
1.Boil hot water in a large pot, boil  
 the raw buckwheat, and tighten with
 water.
 Place the buckwheat in a container and  sprinkle with sesame and chopped
 nori.
    Make soup stock.
2.Put sesame oil in a pan, add garlic and
 ginger and fry pork.
3.The green onion is sliced vertically and
 thinly put into a pan.
4.Put the boiled burdock and shimeji in
 a pan.
5.Put the noodle soup, water and soy
 sauce in a pan and put them in a
 saucepan.

・Onigiri
 Guests make two Onigiri.
 Ingredients, please choose two from  
 plum, kelp, salmon.
1.After adding salt to the wrap, spread
 the rice in an appropriate amount.
2.Put the ingredients in the middle and
 wrap.
3.Make a triangle shape.
4.When eating, roll the seasoned laver
 and eat.

・ Chawanmushi
  The host prepares eggs, dashi,
  seasonings, and ingredients.
  Guests start with the toppings of the
ingredients.
1.Put 2 chicken, 2 shrimp, 2 shiitake and
2 kamaboko in a container.
2.Mix the egg and dashi with the
seasoning and pour into the
ingredients.
3.Topping the three leaves.
4.Steam with a steamer.
