Cooking Class Menu

- Standard “Dashi” soup
“Dashi” is the base soup of all kinds of Japanese dishes. Basically I use seaweed and fish.

- Miso soup
Using Dashi above, let’s cook the best miso soup! Ingredients - basically with tofu and some vegetables

- Rice cooking
Even you don’t have a rice cooker at home, you can cook rice! This is how to cook good rice with normal hot pot at your home.

- Tsukune: Japanese taste chicken ball
Easily made chicken ball with Soy sause.

    Rice

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

We will cook one whole meal for a normal Japanese dinner. I will explain some tips to make it more delicious :)

1. Cook rice
- wash rice and cook with a hot pot
2. Prepare Dashi
- prepare Dashi with seaweeds and fish
3. Cook miso soup
- chop ingredients and cook the soup
4. Cook Tsukune
- chip ingredients and shape a ball with chicken meat, then fly on a pan
- make a special sause with soy sause

*I can customise the menu for vegetarians. Please let me know before booking.
For vegetarians- We don’t use fish for miso soup and Dashi. We can cook other menu instead of Tsukune.
