Udon is a traditional Japanese noodle dish that can be made from wheat flour. By applying strong force to the flour, it becomes delicious noodles. I also make DASHI called soup stock. A traditional Japanese soup that uses seaweed such as bonito and wakame seaweed. After having fun cooking and eating, I would like to show you around the historic temple called Shitennoji. It is about 10 minutes on foot.

  • Udon


    Udon (うどん) is a type of thick wheat flour noodle. It is similar to Italian pasta, but much thicker. It has been eaten all over Japan as an easy-to-eat popular meal, and a substitute meal for rice dishes. Udon is often served hot as a noodle soup in its simplest form, as "kake udon", in a mildly flavoured broth called kakejiru, which is made of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin. The flavor of broth and topping vary from region to region.

Cooking Class Information

This cooking class makes udon and omelet, which are traditional Japanese noodle dishes. For udon, mix flour and water, and mix well. The stronger the force, the more delicious the noodles will be. Then use bonito and wakame seaweed to make soup stock. I will make omelet using this soup stock. Tamagoyaki is a Japanese soul food. It's a very easy task, but you can taste traditional Japanese food. After that, let's go for a walk to Shitennoji, a historical Japanese temple that is about a 10-minute walk away.
