Sushi
Sushi is a popular Japanese style of food that uses fish (raw or cooked) and vegetables, and is combined with vinegar infused rice.

Gyoza
Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling made by wrapping meat, cabbage, leek, etc. in a skin made of thin flour.

Miso soup
We have miso soup every morning.
Ingredients include tofu, seaweed and red miso.

TAKOYAKI
Takoyaki is a snack of chopped octopus placed in a batter of flour, egg and dashi soup stock and fried.

MAKI SUSHI
Maki sushi is sushi made by wrapping vinegared rice and ingredients with dried seaweed.

  • Ramen

    Ramen

    Ramen is a noodle soup dish and perhaps one of the most popular Japanese dishes. There are many flavours of ramen, such as Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen, Miso ramen, Tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen and so on. Common toppings are Chashu (braised pork), Negi (green onion) and Nori (dried seaweed).

  • Gyoza

    Gyoza

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

  • Takoyaki

    Takoyaki

    Takoyaki is very cute, small battered balls containing octopus. When you visit Osaka, you can see Takoyaki shops and people wandering the streets while eating it.

  • Okonomiyaki

    Okonomiyaki

    Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savory pancake, made with flour, eggs, shredded cabbage, meat and toppings as you like. This variability is reflected in the dish's name: "okonomi" literally means "to one's liking". You can eat it everywhere in Japan, but especially Okonomiyaki made Hiroshima style and Osaka style are the most famous.

    Rice

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

In this cooking class, you can make gyoza, miso soup, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, sushi rolls, or anything else you would like to try if you have a request. please ask me!Basically, it's a simple task and you can make it delicious. For those who wish, we can do it together from where to buy ingredients at the supermarket.

I studied abroad in Sweden when I was a university student, and I am interested in foreign cultur and English conversation. I speak a little English, but not fluently.     Please go to Honjo azumabashi station which takes 5 mins from Asakusa station,Oshiage skytree station. Then HARU (host) will pick you up there!
