-Zaru udon(Chilled Udon Noodles)
Udon is thin and long noodles made by kneading wheat flour and water that is then boiled and eaten. Zaru udon is made by chilling boiled udon in water and serving it in a bamboo basket plate, and dipping it in cold soup.
Boiled rice seasoned with soy sauce and mixed with seafood and savory vegetables.
In this cooking class, we can cook udon from dough! We will start by first knead and step on the dough to make udon soft and chewy. Then, cut the dough to thin and long noodle and boil them for a while. After that, cill the noodle in water and serving it in a bamboo basket plate, and dipping it in cold soup.
Takikomi gohan, serving for garnish for udon, this recipe is very simple. We mix all ingredient(soy source, sweet sake, dashi and various vegetables.) and cook as ussual way by rice cooker.
Hi, my name is Mariko.
I work as a University staff in Kobe.
I have 2 kids and cook almost everyday for my family. My interest in cooking brought me getting Chef's license of Japan in 2022, however I'm still practicing cooking by myself at home, haven't pursued a professional yet.
In my class, I will introduce you simple recipes and cook together with explaining clearly, so you can cook what you learned after backing home.
