Inle Brown beans soup
Boil the bean until its get soft and mash. Add the pounded garlic and ginger to the soup, a tea spoon of oil with salt to taste. and add coriander. it is a tradition soup ,especially at the donation ceremony.
Kim Paung Khaw (spring onions tempura)
This is a special dishes that we always make during Myanmar's New Year time and lighting festival. Its made of rice flour and spring onions, tomatoes and a bit of chicken powder,salt to tastes with a bit of water to be a paste. Deep fried in hot oil and dip in with tamarind sauce.
Inle Tomato salad
As being my native Inle lake grow a lot of tomatoes, We make lots of tomatoes base dishes such as fried tomatoes with fish and chilies. And one plate, every traveler loved the most is tomato salad. Mixed with roasted peanut, garlic crispy oil and a little bit of mint leave,salt to taste. Serve with Rice cracker. So yummy salad.
Steamed river Fish wrapped in Banana leave
Fish fillet will marinate with lime,salt. Cut slice lemon grass into fine, Pound garlic and ginger, cut Shan coriander, Mixed them all together and put some Lime basil leave and chili on top. wrap in banana leave and steam around 20 mins and serve with rice. Mouth watering already !
Fermented Tea leave salad
One of authentic dishes from Burma and you will learn a new recipes from our country. Tea leave, tomato, peanut, cabbage, fried nuts with a slice of lime. Mixed well and serve with rice crackers.
Golden Rice with potatoes
A mixed with rice and crispy garlic oil made with turmeric powder and boiled potatoes is a yummy dishes as well.
Chickpea Tofu Curry ( vegetarian)
This tofu was made from Chickpeas and we prepare with spring onions, tomatoes gravy with garlic was super delicious.
I will Local Rum cocktails if you come in the evening.
Green tea(Shan Tea)
And we will have seasonal fruits for dessert.
In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel in Chiangmai or come by yourself our location . After arriving, we will serve a welcome Shan tea. We start preparing for Shan cooking class by harvesting at our home grow vegetables garden .

My name is Myo Min Tun,Please call me Min and I am from Myanmar(Burma).When I grow up, I used to help a lots to my mum when she cooking for the whole families as we are a big family in Inle lake,Shan State, Burma. When I have free time I like to cook and eat myself or invite a friends to come over and eat together at my house. I Used to host for cooking classes in Inle Lake called Mr. Min Cooking Class. It was until I mmoved to Thailand with my family . Due to covid-19 and Political situations in my country , I have to postpone all my business and Now I'm relocated together with my family in Chiang Mai,Thailand. As i am a food lover,I would love to share my mother's Intha cooking recipes to the world and foodies. We grow our own small garden for fresh herbs and some vegetables. I like to meet people from different countries,exchange cultures and eat together. I am looking forwards to welcome you and host at my Nest in Chiang Mai. You will hear a lots of personal experiences and well have best foods from Myanmar (Burma).
