"Gyoza set meal"
A set meal of delicious rice and grilled dumplings. It is one of the foods that Japanese people often eat.

・White rice
Delicious home-grown rice produced with reduced pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

・Gyoza
Dumplings made with minced pork and plenty of cabbage are wrapped in flour skins. Completed by steaming in a frying pan.

・Miso soup
A soup that is often eaten for breakfast. Seasonal vegetables, tofu, wakame seaweed, and homemade miso are used. Miso is a fermented food made from soybeans.

  • Gyoza

    Gyoza

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

In this cooking class, let's make homemade dumplings and miso together. Gyoza is a very common dish in Japanese home cooking. Japanese dumplings are grilled. The outside is crispy and the inside is juicy and very delicious.

Cook delicious rice in a clay pot. I will teach you how to cook rice carefully.

"Gyoza"
Season and mix minced pork. Cut the cabbage, chives, and leeks into small pieces. Mix minced meat and vegetables. Wrap each of these ingredients in a gyoza wrapper. Arrange them neatly in a frying pan coated with sesame oil and steam-fry them until they are browned.

′′ Miso Soup ′′
I'm going to make dashi soup. Add chopped vegetables, tofu, and wakame seaweed to the boiling dashi stock and simmer. Turn off the heat and dissolve the miso to complete.

Freshly cooked delicious rice and handmade dumplings are the best combination!
