What can be on the menu?
Soup or starter: Broth with vegetables and egg noodles / Potato mushroom soup / Potato-sauerkraut pancakes
Side dish: bread dumplings
Main dish: Traditional Goulash rich beef stew) / Svickova (vegetable cream sauce with larded beef) / Roasted Duck / Baked Rabbit with vegetables
Dessert: Fruit Dumplings with qaurk and poppy seeds / Kremrole / Apple Strudel.
Vegetarian option or other dishes can be added upon request.
“Traditional Czech Dishes Following Grandma Recipes” is our full cooking class and is following traditional recipes from our parents and grandparents. It takes approx. 4-4,5hrs.
We would prepare a soup/starter, main dish, side dish and dessert and finish with a dinner. During the experience we also try some home-made products and Slivovice. House wine, coffe, tea, water and home made lemonades are included in price. Recipes will be sent after the class via email.
Hello our future cooking friends! We are Aida & Bret, authentic and joint cooking defines what we do and we speak food language.
We believe food is a perfect communication tool and a way to get to know the people. We have always collected and learned local recipes. It was the best way to get to understand the culture and meet new friends. Through our workshops we have already met more then 1000 people and we can say that the food is truly an ambassador of friendship.
Ever since we were little kids we have observed our grandmothers and aunts preparing traditional dishes following recipes passed from generation to generation. Crafted food was always our passion and we point my life towards eating and cooking consciously.
The way we guide our experiences is very authentic and friendly. We lead the workshops in an entertaining way, we always cook together, share the stories, talk about rituals and traditions as well. We believe that more then a need biological, food is a need cultural and social. Together we will stop the time and enjoy the shared moments. You can be looking forward to either of us to guide your experience.
We will be more then happy to welcome you in our self-designed Good Food Atelier, situated in 400 years old place, hidden in the heart of Karlin, one of Prague’s most expanding and pulsating district.
