I will meet guests at the exit of the Ferry after a 7min ride. We'll walk aroun 200 meters towards the apartment where we'll start preparing the meal. An starter, a main plate and a desert. Enjoy some appetizers which will highlight traditional Portuguese cuisine as well as Goan dishes influenced by the area’s Portuguese history. You might try pataniscas de bacalhau, a very traditional Portuguese cod fritter, along with Goan gram flour fritters, while Paula describes the dishes’ intertwined history. Then sit down to a family-style meal that guests will enjoy sitting down at the familly dining room. Your meal will include Portuguese or Portuguese-influenced Goan dishes. If you prefer a traditional Portuguese meal, or a full Goan-centered meal with dishes like Goan crab curry, we will decide on the menu after you do the booking. End your meal with a sweet dessert and coffee or tea.
Usually i pick up the guests by the Ferry which is just a 7min ride from the Cais do Sodre Station in Lisbon.

I have a very friendly cat that got used to having people playing with him, so as soon as come in the house he comes to say hello to everyone. Sometimes just goes and hides during the entire class but if you let him he will stick around and keep us company.
Paula
Born to a Goan family who has lived in Goa, Mozambique and Portugal, I am a true reflection of the cultural diversity embedded in Portuguese cuisine. My love of food and cooking started from a young age, and food brought to my family together early and often. My mother, an artist in the kitchen, would constantly invite people into our homes (I remember when I was at school I would come home on a Saturday to find my mother had invited the entire teaching staff over for a meal). My family cooked internationally – one night we might eat traditional Portuguese homecooking while the next night my mother would make Goan samosas from scratch, teaching me the proper technique to make the dough and fold the samosas correctly. When my mother passed away a few years ago, my mother’s friends began turning to me, saying how much they missed my mother’s cooking. It was this that started me on my second career, in food. I began by cooking the family recipes, Goan and Portuguese, that her mother’s friends loved so much. After taking a course in cake design, I also started baking and found another passion in creating art from cakes. I opened my own cake studio and have been baking and doing catering for friends since then. I love playinf in the Kitchen, and welcome you into my home to share a Portuguese meal with international influence that will help you to truly understand Portuguese-Goan culture and local life.
