In this cooking class, you learn the basics of pasta dough making, rolling out pasta sheets, cutting into fettuccine as well as a tomato sauce to coat the cooked pasta with.
Once you master the simple class steps, you have the basics to make other types of pasta and sauces in your own time at home which is lots of fun.
We start by making pasta dough using plain flour and water only, no egg. Learn to knead it into a ball of dough which will rest for a short time whilst we teach you about Sauce Making.
Next you will make a basic tomato sauce which includes our fresh homegrown herbs such as parsley, bay leaf and oregano. We use olive oil, meat bones for extra flavour (which can be left out if desired), passata and water. This will simmer slowly while we roll out the pasta sheets.
Then we cut the sheets into beautiful fettuccine which will be cooked for lunch and served with the sauce you have made.
As we prepare the large dining table for lunch, you take a break in our lounge area or outside on the deck if the weather is fine.
We sit together around the table and swap travel stories, eat delicious homemade dishes, with a glass or two of wine and mineral water.
Our day ends with one of our delicious Italian desserts and an espresso coffee or tea.
