Gyoza is Japanese dumpling. It is made with minced pork, cabbage, leek, garlic, ginger, black pepper, sesame oil, vegetable bouillon, Japanese salty seasonings and dumpling skin.
We usually have miso soup every day. There are many kinds of miso soup in Japan and it is one of them that is made with Japanese radish, seaweed, eggs, broth and miso in this class.
We have white rice every day, too. The white rice really goes with the Japanese salty foods so you can taste it with the gyoza and the miso soup.
·Shaved Ice( Japanese cold and sweet dessert )
My cooking class is easy to learn. Let's try it!
You can try to wrap the ingredient in the dumpling skin easily with me because I prepare the ingredient for you before the class. So it is good for beginners. If you want to know the all recipes of the dumpling, I will give it to you after the class. So please tell me it. You also can try to fry the dumpling in the frying pan with me. you will know how to turn over the dumpling from the frying pan to the big plate quickly and beautifully. It is very fun!
My gyoza story
My granma worked at a gyoza store and cooked gyoza for many years. She often cooked it for her grandchildren at home after she have quited her working life. When I was a elementary school student I begun to cook the gyoza with her. She told how to wrap the dumpling first. It was very fun and happy time with her for me. After that she told me what material to put for gyoza's ingredient. It was very good way to learn cooking it for me.
