I have been in the food industry for 25 years in the US and Japan. I have worked in restaurants, been a caterer, and shifted my career to a cooking teacher 20 years ago. I have been in the food exporting business such as exporting wagyu, seafood, fruits.
Since I have opened my cooking school in Shibuya in my home about 10 years ago, I have created this culinary experience for Tokyo travelers to show Tokyo food life followed by cooking class in my kitchen. My guests will see how Tokyo locals shop, eat, and live. And learn about what really Japanese are eating everyday, and how the food products are organized and displayed. In my cooking class, the menu is seasonal Japanese home cooking. Learn about umami, dashi, Tamagoyaki, types of miso, Japanese cooking tools, cooking rice in a Donabe.
Vegetarian and Pescetarian choices are both available in this experience.
