Japanese fried chicken, karaage is made by marinating bite-size pieces of chicken in sake, soy sauce, ginger and garlic before coating them generously with potato starch. When fried, the starch turns into an ultra crispy shell encasing a flavorful juicy bite of chicken. Absolutely great with beer.

Very popular dish in my house!
It is made by marinating chicken in soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, then deep frying it until it is crispy. The secret ingredient in my dish is DASHI powder, which adds more flavor and umami. It's delicious as is, or you can add a sweet and sour sauce to taste.
We cook white rice in Le Creuset, which we love and use Tsuyahime rice from Yamagata Prefecture.

We are a normal family of four with two children in elementary school. When we were young, we both enjoyed traveling abroad, and we met in Victoria, Canada. I want my children to know more about the world, but it isn’t so easy for us to travel abroad.
