(Inari-sushi+Norimaki)

Sukeroku sushi is very traditional and familiar to Japanese people.

After cooking, on a nice day, go to a nearby beach and enjoy a Sukeroku sushi bento while looking at Mt. Fuji.

Cooking Class Information

Welcome to my house in local area in Numazu city, Shizuoka. It’s very nice area to see Mt. Fuji. not so many tourists come yet.

In this lesson, all the ingredients have been prepared, and you will be the ones to do the finishing touches.
Stuff vinegared rice into the inari and make rolled sushi with a bamboo mat.
Once you get the hang of it, you can roll sushi well.

If the weather is nice, go to a nearby beach and eat the Sukeroku sushi bento you made while looking at Mt. Fuji.
If you wish, I will take you to Numazu Port.

In addition to making a traditional Sukeroku sushi bento, I hope you will also enjoy Numazu, a rural town in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Nice to meet you, I'm Sanae.
I live in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Numazu is a very nice place. It's a relaxing place where you can see Mt. Fuji up close, the ocean, and the mountains. You can get there in just over an hour by taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo. My home is 2km from Numazu Station. I'll pick you up at the station. Numazu is next to Mishima Station on the Shinkansen.

Lessons are held in small groups. Even one person is OK. Would you like to make it together?

After the lesson, if you wish, we will take you to Numazu fishing port while looking at Mt. Fuji from Senbonhama.

I am looking forward to seeing you!!

My lesson with Sanae was amazing! She was so nice (and her cat is adorable). We talked about how to make maki rolls, she showed me how to do one, and then I got to try myself! She had all of the ingredients ready to go, and gave me great advice, and was very encouraging. We then filled abura age with rice to create inari sushi, and grabbed a few other small pieces of food (and of course our sushi) and ate our wonderful lunches on the beach looking out over the water. Sanae gave me such an incredible lesson and many fantastic pieces of advice that I will take home with me to make sushi myself. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun lesson on how to make sushi with a great teacher. Thank you so much Sanae!
