  • Udon

    Udon

Udon (うどん) is a type of thick wheat flour noodle. It is similar to Italian pasta, but much thicker. It has been eaten all over Japan as an easy-to-eat popular meal, and a substitute meal for rice dishes. Udon is often served hot as a noodle soup in its simplest form, as "kake udon", in a mildly flavoured broth called kakejiru, which is made of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin. The flavor of broth and topping vary from region to region.

  • Karaage

    Karaage

Japanese fried chicken, karaage is made by marinating bite-size pieces of chicken in sake, soy sauce, ginger and garlic before coating them generously with potato starch. When fried, the starch turns into an ultra crispy shell encasing a flavorful juicy bite of chicken. Absolutely great with beer.

  • Green Tea

For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

Cooking Class Information

My cooking class is a small, intimate experience designed for meaningful connection and real learning. I do not run large, fast-paced group tours. Instead, I welcome only one small group per day so everyone can relax, ask questions freely, and truly enjoy the cooking process.

The atmosphere is friendly, personal, and easy to follow. We cook step by step together, and I explain not only how to cook, but why we cook in certain ways. My goal is for you to understand Japanese home cooking, not just watch it.

Most importantly, I carefully choose ingredients that you can find in your own country. I want you to recreate the dishes after you return home and share Japanese flavors with your family and friends.

This is not just a class — it’s a cultural experience you can take back with you.
