Cooking Class Menu

This is an authentic pizza-making experience using a wood-fired oven.
You'll knead the dough, let it rest and ferment, roll it out into a circle, top it with vegetables, bacon, sausages, and cheese, and then put it in the wood-fired oven to bake. It takes about an hour for the oven to heat up and for the dough to rest and ferment, and another hour to add toppings, bake in the oven, and eat. The experience lasts a total of two hours.

About Host

My name is Mika Sugawa.
My family runs a campground surrounded by beautiful Kitayama cedar trees and a clear stream.
We offer pizza-making experiences using a wood-fired oven.

In spring, we can gather many kinds of wild vegetables. Dishes made with these seasonal vegetables have a unique flavor that can only be found in the Japanese mountain village.

We also have a field here that uses the "Kin-chan" farming method, so we can make dishes using fresh vegetables grown without fertilizers or pesticides.

My mother and sister are excellent cooks and can make almost any Japanese dish. You can experience cooking with fresh seasonal vegetables.

I love experiencing different cultures.
