Cooking Class Menu

. Exotic Fruit Safari (Surquillo Market)
We will start with a tasting of exotic fruits brought from the coast, the Andes, and the Peruvian Amazon. I will teach you how to recognize these natural "superfoods," and you’ll discover flavors that don't exist anywhere else in the world!

. Authentic Amazonian Feast (Surco Market)
We will taste the heart of the Peruvian jungle. You’ll try an authentic Juane (seasoned rice with chicken wrapped in bijao leaves) or Chaufa de Cecina (smoked jungle pork). It’s a unique opportunity to try organic, ancient food from the Amazon right in the middle of the city.

. Artisanal Wine & Pisco Tasting (Ugarelli Vineyard)
We will visit the historic Ugarelli Vineyard in Surco. We’ll enjoy a guided tasting of their young wines (dry and sweet), as well as their artisanal production of Pisco and macerated spirits. You will learn about a winemaking tradition that has been kept alive for generations!

Cooking Class Information

This 3.5-hour experience is a journey through the hidden flavors of Peru's history. We start at the Surquillo Local Market, where we will explore and taste a wide variety of exotic fruits from the Pacific, the Andes, and the Amazon rainforest.

Next, we head to the Santiago de Surco Market, a place famous among locals for its authentic Rainforest food. Here, you will try iconic Amazonian dishes like Juane or Chaufa de Cecina, made with organic ingredients. I will share with you the stories behind these ancient recipes and the culture of the people who prepare them.

To end our journey on a high note, we will visit the Ugarelli Vineyard, one of the last traditional wineries in Lima. We will enjoy a professional tasting of artisanal wines and Pisco, learning about the local passion for winemaking. This is the perfect experience for those looking for the real, non-touristy flavors of Peru!
