・Onigiri (Rice Balls)
Onigiri is a beloved Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice pressed into triangular shapes and wrapped in nori (seaweed). In my class, you will learn how to shape them by hand! We will make two types: one filled with flavorful salmon, and another seasoned with savory Furikake (rice seasoning).
・Miso Soup
Miso soup is a staple of the Japanese dining table. We will make authentic broth from scratch using Dashi (soup stock), then add classic ingredients like soft tofu and seaweed. It is warm, comforting, and perfect for experiencing everyday Japanese life.
・Tamagoyaki (Japanese Omelette)
Tamagoyaki is a sweet and savory rolled omelette, a favorite in Japanese bento boxes. We will use a special rectangular pan to roll the egg layers. My family’s secret tip for making it extra fluffy is adding a splash of savory Dashi broth to the egg mix!
