⭐︎vegetables mix curry
⭐︎daal
⭐︎vegetable pakora
⭐︎Rita
Our vegetarian curry is made using lentils or fresh seasonal ingredients.
We can freely combine ingredients to perfectly match your taste and preferences.
We also make Pakora, which is like a vegetable tempura. The batter is made from chickpea flour (besan), so it is completely gluten-free and 100% safe for vegetarians to enjoy.
Raita is a refreshing yogurt salad mixed with fresh, raw vegetables.
In India, people love eating yogurt with their meals, and it is very common to pour raita directly over lentil curry.
◆non vegetarian
⭐︎chicken curry
⭐︎keema curry (chicken Minch and green peas )
⭐︎chicken tikka(baked spicy chicken )
For non-vegetarians, I highly recommend our chicken curry, keema curry, and chicken tikka!
We will make a style of curry mixed with potatoes and carrots—similar to Japanese curry—so you can enjoy it with plenty of vegetables.
It is a wonderfully balanced and nutritious meal.
◆miso soups (vegetarian available )
If you are interested, we can also make Japanese miso soup together!
We love having miso soup alongside our curry as part of our daily meals.
For our cooking session, we will use tofu as the main ingredient for the soup.
In this cooking class,
we will make one type of curry and one appetizer together!
You will get to chop and sauté onions, and add the aromatic spices yourself.
We would love for you to try your hand at finely dicing the onions!
You will also have the chance to hold and smell whole spices that you might not normally see or touch in daily life.
It’s a wonderful experience that will engage all of your five senses. We want you to feel as if you are visiting a home in India while staying right here in Japan. Please come and enjoy this unique intercultural and mix-culture experience!
We speak English, Japanese, and Hindi. However, we truly believe that people can connect and understand each other through food, no matter what language they speak. Don’t let a language barrier hold you back—just bring your curiosity and enjoy the cultural differences!
After we enjoy our meal, let’s share our travel stories—we would love to hear about your journey, and we can share ours too.
Upon request, we can also teach you simple yoga breathing techniques and traditional Indian prayer customs!
Moreover, wether permitting, we can hike to the Venus Bridge viewpoint and share yoga breathwork under the open sky.
Tokiko
Hi, my name is Tokiko Rudola.I live with my husband, a former executive chef of Indian cuisine, and we split our time between India and Kobe.
In Japan, the concept of vegetarianism is not yet widely integrated, which can make finding suitable meals a struggle for vegetarian travelers.
However, with Indian cuisine, vegetarians can relax and fully enjoy their food. When we used to run an Indian restaurant, we welcomed many foreign vegetarian travelers looking for a safe and delicious meal.
I started airKitchen because we want travelers in Japan to experience the magic of authentic spice-filled cooking. We also love sharing our daily life as an international couple and the rich blend of our two cultures!
Our home is close to the beautiful, mountainous area of Kobe. After our meal, we can take a peaceful 15-minute walk through the forest up to an observation deck with stunning views of nature.
Although we live in an apartment, the interior was fully renovated 20 years ago using all-natural materials, creating a unique Japanese-Indian fusion space.
I love yoga, yoga philosophy, singing, nature, and kids. My husband loves cooking, Indian mythology, and watching cricket.
Let’s explore the profound food culture of India and enjoy our unique Japanese-Indian blend together. I am looking forward to seeing you!
