Zunda Mochi
A mochi (rice cake) with green soy bean paste. It is a Miyagi's (which is my home town) traditional food.
Apparently, it looks a bit unique, but it is sweet, and actually tastes AMAZING!!
Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.
In this cooking class, you will learn how to make Zunda-Mochi, which is a mochi with green soy bean paste.
You first bake the mochi, and while doing that you will boil some green beans and mash them, adding some sugar and little bit of salt as a kick.
After that you mix those each others and you are ready to enjoy the food!!
Green tea is going to be a perfect match with the dish, so let's have that too!!
