Yusentei Park is famous to became the former home of the 6th lord of Fukuoka which have built it in the 18th century.
This park is made up of a beautiful garden which is manufactured in the traditional style as well as an artificial pond, and this is a great place to visit.

The Sumiyoshi-Jinja Shrine is one of the oldest such sites on Kyushu, devoted to the protective divinities of seafarers, the last of the series of beautiful shrines sailors would visit before heading out to sea. Particularly the impressive is the Main Hall, rebuilt in its present classical style in 1622, along with with a significant number of critical national treasures, most notably an ancient sword and a copper ax, along with old scripts and documents dating back to the Middle Ages. From the shrine, which is bordered by a large grove of Japanese cedars and camphor trees, are beautiful views over the River Naka. Be sure to allow sufficiently of time also to explore the adjacent Sumiyoshi Park.
