This museum has a wide range of historical buildings in ancient Tokyo. The buildings which you can see here in the open-air museum didn’t survive the earthquakes, wars and fires. So, the management of the museum had an aim to preserve their history by reconstructing those buildings.

A high number of the buildings which you can see here in the building are from 1868-1912. The other attractions that you can see here in the museum are a police box, multiple shops, public bathhouse, farmhouse and a former residence of a politician.
