You can find the statue in Kotoku-in Temple. The statue is an attraction of tourists since 1252. The height of the statue is 11.4m. This statue is the second tallest Buddha statue in the country. Unlike other statues, you can enter the body of the Great Buddha statue. The feeling is amazing.

Hasedera Temple

There are a lot of things to in Kamakura for family and visiting the beautiful temples of the city is one of them. There are multiple temples in the city, and each of them has their beauty. 

If you want to visit a temple, your first trip should be to the Hasedera temple. This temple is one the largest Buddhist temple in the Kamakura city. Not only you can feel the spirituality when you visit the temple. But the location of the temple is also mesmerizing. 

The temple complex is on the hill. The location makes it the perfect spot for having the beautiful views of the city. Further; along with viewing the whole city,  you can enjoy the Sagami Bay from the temple complex. 

If you want to visit the city, you should note that June and July are one of the busiest months at the Hasedera temple. During the rainy season, the whole scenery is fantastic due to flower blooms.
