Cooking Class Menu

・Mochi
Rice and water into the machine, steam it, and make the rice cake. Enjoy rolling the mochi with your hands. Add soybean paste and red bean paste. You can put the round mochi in a bag and take it home.

・Stir-fry the yakisoba
Chinese noodles, pork, and vegetables, and add seasoning. Add pickled ginger.

・Make Okonomiyaki
Dough by mixing flour, eggs, water, etc., then bake it flat on a hot plate with vegetables and pork. Sprinkle sauce and mayonnaise on top, then top with bonito flakes and green seaweed.

・Mix chawanmushi
Eggs with dashi stock, soy sauce, etc., add chicken, shiitake mushrooms, etc., and steam in a steamer.

・Mix chirashi sushi
Rice vinegar, sugar, etc. to make sushi rice. Then, put seaweed, kinshi tamago, shiitake mushrooms, etc. on top to decorate.

- Make miso soup
Stock and add miso. Add seasonal vegetables to the ingredients.

    Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savory pancake, made with flour, eggs, shredded cabbage, meat and toppings as you like. This variability is reflected in the dish's name: "okonomi" literally means "to one's liking". You can eat it everywhere in Japan, but especially Okonomiyaki made Hiroshima style and Osaka style are the most famous.

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

We offer a wide range of home-cooked meals, including hotpot dishes, yakitori, gyoza, dashimaki tamago, stewed dishes, udon, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, soup curry, tempura, tonkatsu, takoyaki, handmade bread, sushi, ramen, and more. I have a level 2 Eiken test, so I can speak simple English. My hobby is calligraphy. Since I have an elementary teacher's license, I can teach calligraphy. Currently, I am studying to become a Japanese language teacher. We will do our best to answer any requests you may have. Thank you. Ishiyama Station is located 14 minutes from JR Kyoto Station. If there are up to 4 people, we will pick you up at Ishiyama Station by private car. My home is about 10 minutes by taxi from Ishiyama Station.
