So, I decided to open a cooking school to invite those tourists to experience Japanese culture at home.

★★★★★It was such a great experience! Satoko was a great instructor, explained about traditional mochi and the holidays it is costumed to make them. It was very interesting! Then we learned how to make daifuku, dango, warabi and savory mochi - all different types of mochi. Each one also symbolises something else, it's really fun to learn. Also she showed us how to make ice-cream mochi, but it takes practice to make so she showed us how to do it in theory. My wife is vegan and has celiac- and everything was just right for her (we always carry our GF soy sauce with us, so used it instead of the regular one). Everything was delicious. Satoko was fun to talk to, very welcoming and we had a really good time. In the end we had a special treat- because we are going back home soon and didn't get to do a tea ceremony, she performed a casual tea ceremony for us! It was lovely. We ate some of what we made, and took what's left in a package back to the hotel. She gave us a small gift at the end. Everything was thought out to the last detail! Another small anecdote- we came with our luggage as we just moved between hotels. Also my wife is pregnant - and Satoko immediately offered her husband to take us to the train station. Thank you Satoko, and your husband - for the hospitality and the great session. We will definitely make mochi at home, and recommend it to everyone we can.
