★★★★★I have a lovely time with SatokoSan. Everything was perfect. She is a good and smiling teacher that has a lot to offer for her guests. She will tell you about mochi history and culture and she will answer all your questions. I am now looking forward to try my best at home to cook as good mochis as we cooked together on this day. If like me, you like Mochi and you like meeting local people, I strongly recommend this course with Satoko San. I was really happy for this 2 hours spend together. Thank you again for all Satoko San.

English: Our experience with Satoko was amazing! My husband and I went. It was our first time making mochis and we loved it. Satoko was super friendly, she speaks English really well and we understood everything perfectly. She explained the history, customs and traditions of mochis really well with very understandable images and texts. I consider the classes with Satoko to be very affordable even if your English is not very good, she speaks slowly and really well, very easy to understand. I really liked that unlike other classes I saw, she showed us how to make mochi with ice cream, something I will try to do at home to see if I can do it… the mochis came out really delicious, when it was time to eat the mochis we had made, she prepared our tea and offered us other mochi snacks for us to try as well. FABULOUS experience. When I go back to Tokyo I will repeat the experience with Satoko with another type of food. She was very open and friendly at all times.

★★★★★It was such a great experience! Satoko was a great instructor, explained about traditional mochi and the holidays it is costumed to make them. It was very interesting! Then we learned how to make daifuku, dango, warabi and savory mochi - all different types of mochi. Each one also symbolises something else, it's really fun to learn. Also she showed us how to make ice-cream mochi, but it takes practice to make so she showed us how to do it in theory. My wife is vegan and has celiac- and everything was just right for her (we always carry our GF soy sauce with us, so used it instead of the regular one). Everything was delicious. Satoko was fun to talk to, very welcoming and we had a really good time. In the end we had a special treat- because we are going back home soon and didn't get to do a tea ceremony, she performed a casual tea ceremony for us! It was lovely. We ate some of what we made, and took what's left in a package back to the hotel. She gave us a small gift at the end. Everything was thought out to the last detail! Another small anecdote- we came with our luggage as we just moved between hotels. Also my wife is pregnant - and Satoko immediately offered her husband to take us to the train station. Thank you Satoko, and your husband - for the hospitality and the great session. We will definitely make mochi at home, and recommend it to everyone we can.
