Neri-kiri is a very formal sweet that is also called the main confectionery, and is mainly eaten with matcha during tea ceremonies. The ingredients are simple:glutinous rice flour, sugar, and white bean paste (white kidney beans). It is a healthy food because it does not contain animal fat. The colors are made with natural colored powders, so even children can eat them safety. In this cooking class, you can not only make sweets but also learn about Japanese sweets and mochi culture. First, use slides to learn about Japanese sweets culture. Then, we will make Japanese sweets together.

The mochi course

three-colored dango are made from dango dough. You also add color to the dough and boil the dumplings by yourself.
For strawberry daifuku, the host makes the dough, but you make everything else by yourself. Freshly made daihuku are very soft and delicious.
Nerikiri course makes two nerikiri by yourself. Colored powders are naturally derived colors, so sweets are gentle to your health. You also make matcha by yourself. I'll give you all the recipes, so you can enjoy them at home. I'll also teach you how to make matcha by yourself.
