Sanshoku Dango
Sanshoku Dango is a traditional Japanese spring dango. Guests can color the mochi in three different colors and boil it by themselves. The recipes are simple and used ingredients are easily available in your home country, and you can download the recipes to take home. The three color dango have different tastes, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors. Your host will demonstrate how to make strawberry daifuku dough, but host will also give you a simple recipe so you can make it yourself after you return home. You will wrap the dough and strawberries by yourself. One makes daifuku in a modern style, and the other in an old-fashioned style. In Japan, strawberry season is from October to May, so when strawberries are not available, other fruits are used.

Cooking Class Information

In the lesson, we will first make three-colored dango. Add water to the flour to make it soft, then make two dumplings. Color each dumpling. Colors derived from nature such as cherry blossom powder and matcha. Once the dumplings are made, we boil them ourselves. Once the dumplings are made, thread them onto skewers to make them easier to eat.
Once the dango is finished, it's time to make the strawberry daifuku. After the host makes the dough, wrap the strawberries yourself. There is no need to worry as the host will kindly support you.
