白和え"Shiraae"
Shiraae is a traditional Japanese dish made with tofu and a creamy sesame.
ingredients:
- Vegetables (such as spinach, green beans, or Seasonal fruits ,carrots)
- Tofu (silken or firm)
- White sesame seeds
- miso
- Sugar
Enjoy your homemade shiraae! It's a delicious and nutritious dish that combines the creaminess of tofu with the rich flavors of sesame.

・Gyoza
Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling made by wrapping meat, cabbage, leek, etc. in a skin made of thin flour.


・Miso soup
We have miso soup every morning.
Ingredients include tofu, seaweed, koji miso&red miso.


・親子丼 (Oyakodon) is a popular Japanese dish that consists of a bed of steamed rice topped with a savory mixture of chicken and eggs. ・(牛丼)Gyudon
Gyudon also known as beef bowl, is a popular Japanese dish that consists of thinly sliced beef cooked with onions and served over a bowl of steamed rice. The beef is typically simmered in a sweet and savory sauce made from soy sauce, mirin (sweet rice wine), and dashi (Japanese soup stock). The onions are cooked until they become soft and caramelized, adding a rich flavor to the dish.
Gyudon is enjoyed by people of all ages in Japan and is often considered a comfort food.

Chirashi sushi is a traditional Japanese dish that consists of a bowl of sushi rice topped with a colorful assortment of fresh sashimi, vegetables, and other ingredients.
Chirashi sushi is enjoyed as a main course or as part of a celebratory meal, and it is a popular choice for sushi lovers who prefer a more casual and customizable dining experience.

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

    Udon

    Udon (うどん) is a type of thick wheat flour noodle. It is similar to Italian pasta, but much thicker. It has been eaten all over Japan as an easy-to-eat popular meal, and a substitute meal for rice dishes. Udon is often served hot as a noodle soup in its simplest form, as "kake udon", in a mildly flavoured broth called kakejiru, which is made of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin. The flavor of broth and topping vary from region to region.

Hello everyone! I'm YUUMI.
I have been working as an international flight attendant for 18 years.
Now, I am a mother to a 7-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son.
Having had the opportunity to taste cuisines from around the world, I have come to appreciate how delicious and healthy Japanese home-cooked meals can be.
That's why I want to share easy-to-make and delicious recipes with those visiting Japan. I believe that cooking together and sharing stories can bring us joy and happiness. That's why I joined Air Kitchen.

Recently, I also obtained qualifications as a cheese sommelier and a food education instructor.
I love cooking and often invite friends over. I try to use organic vegetables, meat, rice, and additive-free seasonings whenever possible, so I can share those as well.
Our home is located in the Shibuya and Daikanyama areas, within walking distance, making it a convenient location for sightseeing. We also have a balcony, so on sunny days, let’s enjoy meals on the terrace!
Right in front of our home, there are popular hotels for foreign guests, so I promise you will enjoy sightseeing in Tokyo!
