This class is a hands-on workshop to learn Japanese home style cooking. It is perfect for beginnners and sushi lovers. You will be able to master the basics of crafting flavorful soup stock, called dashi, which is the base for Japanese cuisine. Using this dashi, you will be making Japanese rolled omlet and miso soup. I will show you the preparation of sushi rice and how to make sushi rolls. You get to enjoy Nagoya's local food and sushi rolls together! After the class, you will be able to create a true taste of Japanese cuisine and share it to your family and friends for special occasions.
Welcome to my house! I will introduce myself and please relax and have some green tea.

Thank you for visiting my page. I'm a certified cooking instructor with the Japan Association of cooking for Foreigners.
I was born and raised in Kawasaki city and moved to Nagoya 10 years ago. My father often invited his friends and relatives for dinner at my house. As a child, I liked seeing my mother making a lot of delicious Japanese dishes for home parties and enjoyed the atmosphere. Because of such experience, when I moved to California, I had often cooked Japanese food for my friends, and it was such a pleasure to see my friends enjoying the dishes.
I'm interested in engaging conversation with people from all over the world. Please share a story about you and your country while cooking at you house!
